RamVille is a directory of French communes (cities). It contains all the french communes (more than 36000).
For each commune this information is available : postcode (or postcodes), INSEE number, population (as well as the population of the past censuses of 1968, 1975, 1982, 1990 and 1999), density, surface, number of main homes, number of second homes and number of empty homes. Data comes from the last survey of 2005 for the censused communes, otherwise it comes from the last complete census of 1999.
3 versions of RamVille exist :
- The classic version which does not allow you to export data.
- The advanced version which allows you to export communes names, INSEE numbers and postcodes.
- The pro version which allows you to export all data.
See below the Data export topic.
You can display the communes from a department, an administrative region, an old province (for example Touraine, Poitou, Savoie, Normandie, etc...) or all the french communes.
The communes names are displayed in the first column of the list. You can display in the other columns (you can add as much columns as you want) the data you want among this : INSEE number, postcode, population, density, surface, total number of homes, number of main homes, number of second homes, number of empty homes.
An icon displayed in front of the name of the communes indicates if the commune is a prefecture, subprefecture or a canton chief town. Each column can be sorted,
you just have to click on the column's title to sort the communes in ascending order (another click on the title will sort in descending order ).
